The UK Betting and Gaming Council announced the launch of its Limits are Good campaign. It is part of the mission of the UK BGC for safer gambling in the nation. Their goal is to help people at risk of over-indulging during the holidays.
The new campaign caters to men from ages 18 to 34, who are at risk of over-indulging during the Christmas season. They provide online tools to allow gamblers to set their limits. Through the new campaign, the BGC hopes to get more insights on whether players enjoy betting within the set limits.
BGC Chairman Brigid Simmonds OBE told sports wagering news sites that setting limits in gaming and betting should be no different in setting boundaries in other activities. Also, there are many critical sporting events during the holiday season. People at risk should self-exclude themselves from gambling during the festive period.

The Betting and Gaming Council upload several short films on YouTube that tackled problem gambling. Also, the movies will be available on various online channels over the next couple of weeks.
The campaign will have a measurable framework that will include several metrics. Some factors include the number of deposit limits set before and after the campaign, visits to deposit limit pages, and the number of completed views of the films.
The group wants to see real-life behaviors of the football betting public. They promote the use of tools that will limit the ability to bet on sports. They hope to identify how people control their gambling activities.
Using limit-setting tools, sports betting operators can do more to empower players to wager safely. The organization will release its findings after the first wave of study in six months. For now, the BGC reminds people to limit their gambling during the festive season.
