According to online casino news sources, Illinois is the latest in a series of jurisdictions where the PointsBet is expanding operations. Earlier this month, PointsBet deals with online wagering solutions provider company, Betmakers, to launch a fixed-odds betting program. Although, this is for the program on horse racing in New Jersey.
Previously, PointsBet officially enters the Michigan market via another partnership. This is with Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. It is to provide online and mobile sports wagering and gaming, liable upon obtaining necessary licenses. The partnership is under an exclusive contract that will last initially for 20 years. It also comes with an automatic renewal for five more years on the table unless one objects in written form.
Also, in March, the Indiana Gaming Commission grants PointsBet a mobile sports wagering license for the state. It makes Indiana the third state to feature PointsBet digital sportsbook offering sports betting odds. And with the first partnership with Penn National Gaming.
PointsBet Presence in the Sports Betting Market
PointsBet is ensuring its presence in Illinois. It is where the sports betting market is not facing a level of competition, unlike in other states. The state represents the potential of Pennsylvania in terms of population and race in the markets. It is expected further intensify as the IGB issues master licenses with six casinos.
